At the core of Permian Production Lubricants is our proprietary PXP Technology - a groundbreaking innovation using a myriad of proprietary additives to form a completely new EP and improved viscosity life that sets our lubricants apart from everything else on the market.
 
Unlike traditional lubricants, which naturally carry a negative molecular charge (-) just like metal surfaces, PXP uses a reacted additive package to reverse the polarity of the lubricant base - transforming it into a positive-charged fluid (+). This polarity shift causes our lubricants to be magnetically attracted to metal surfaces, forming an additional layer of thin-film lubricant barrier to critical metal surfaces. The result is dramatically reduced friction, wear, corrosion, abrasive damage, viscosity breakdown, acids and solids formation, and failure rates while improving operational efficiency.

PXP​

Independent lab testing shows PXP-enhanced lubricants outperform all major and specialty competitors in pressure resistance, friction reduction, corrosion protection, washout durability, and post-use viscosity retention. In oil analysis, PXP fluids consistently return significantly lower metal contaminant levels than industry benchmarks. However, in the field, the PXP line has continually exceeded competitor fluid end packing lubricants by hundreds of hours and reduced the total amount of failures and replacements across many different applications.
