Permian Production Lubricants is a West Texas-based specialty lubricant manufacturer dedicated exclusively to high-performance lubrication solutions for the oil and gas industry. At the center of our innovation is our proprietary Permian Extreme Pressure (PXP) additive technology—engineered to meet the extreme demands of hydraulic fracturing, energy transmission, well servicing, and mixed-fleet operations.

We rigorously test our products against every major and specialty competitor across key application classes. Time and again, the PXP Technology demonstrates superior performance in operational efficiency, maintenance requirements, and reduced cost of ownership of high value asset groups.

ABOUT

The PXP line of differentiated and disruptive lubricants includes:

  • Fluid-End Packing Grease

  • Diesel Engine Oils

  • Transmission Fluids

  • Gear Oils

  • Packing Oils

  • Hydraulic and Compressor Oils

  • Natural Gas Engine Oils

  • Turbine / R&O Oils

Each formulation is purpose-built to address extensive mechanical and thermal challenges in demanding environments—especially within positive displacement pump systems used in high-pressure hydraulic fracturing and other pressure pumping applications.

PXP Fluid End Packing Grease field performance routinely exceeds 500 continuous pumping hours, with recent deployments surpassing 600 and even 700 hours without packing failure.
These milestones reflect a new benchmark for lubricant reliability in upstream operations.

HOW IT WORKS

PXP Technology enhances extreme pressure (EP) lubrication through a proprietary additive system that chemically modifies high-purity base oils with a positive ionic (+) charge so that it is attracted to the negative charge in metal surfaces in pumps, compressors, engines, and other extreme-demand continuous-duty equipment.

The PXP Charged lubricants apply a powerful, lubricant boundary film below the lubricant body that significantly reduces metal-to-metal contact friction—minimizing wear, drag, corrosion, and thermal breakdown. The result is extended component life, reduced maintenance intervals, and consistently superior performance under the most demanding operational conditions.
